Placement Process

The Placement Cell supports placements drives for the students in Final Year of Diploma programmes as well for pass out students of previous academic years.

1. For the placement of Final Year Students in the present academic year:

For the recruitment of the students studying in Final Year of Diploma Engineering, the visiting industry is requested to

1. Check the Academic Calendar of current academic year of the institute and plan the schedule of interviews by avoiding the schedules of progressive unit tests and semester examinations.
2. Consider engaging the students for internship for six months from 15 th June to 15 th Dec. and offering them pre-placement offers, if found suitable.
3. Send the following information on their letterhead in PDF format to tpo@gppune.ac.in

Brief details of the company’s area / domain of work

1. Eligibility Conditions – Branch of Diploma, % of Marks, Number of active or dead backlogs etc.
2. Details of recruitment process – Aptitude test, Group Discussion, Interview etc.
3. Designations, Durations and Compensation (CTC and Take-Home Salary details) for Training, Probation and after confirmation.
4. Job profiles and Career Progression Plan after training (such as Shop Supervisor, Design Engineer, QC Engineer, CNC m/c Operator, Site Supervisor, Programmer, Developer, Coder, Tester etc.)

Details of Additional Facilities such as support for higher education

The institute will share the above-mentioned details with the students, will get the data of eligible and interested students and then will share the data of the students with the industry for further processing. Generally this process of sending the students’ data to the industry takes four to five days from the receipt of complete details from the industry.

2. For the placement of pass out students of previous academic years:

The industries which are interested in the recruitment of pass out students of previous academic years are requested to send a write-up / notice for such students containing information as mentioned in the above section alongwith a link of a Google / Microsoft / any other form suitable to them for collecting information of the interested students. The industry information and the link is shared on the WhatsApp groups of the passout students.

The eligible students, if interested, apply directly using the link of the form shared by the industry and then the industries can invite them for the recruitment process in their campus or the students can be interviewed in online mode, as per the convenience / policy of the industry.

The industries are requested to share the details of such selected students of previous batches to the TPO cell (tpo@gppune.ac.in) for record purpose.

As the passout students of previous academic years are not on the campus and are either working and / or studying somewhere else, the institute supports the industries and such students to connect with each other by sharing the recruitment related information on the WhatsApp groups of passout students.
